Welcome to Our Parish

A warm welcome to the Parish of St. Hugh and St. John where we seek to embrace the vision of Pope Francis in reaching out to all members of God’s creation.

Pope Francis reminds us that the First Commandment of Parish life is ‘closeness to people’; through participation in prayer, worship and pastoral involvement we aspire to make this happen.

With Christ at our centre we hope that all who come our way will be touched by His tenderness, compassion and joy.

While the website gives you a glimpse of what we are about, please be assured of a personal welcome at all times.

Current clergy: Fr Pat Munroe and Fr Tomasz Mamelka.

Online booking for Masses

Numbers for Masses at the weekends are approaching their limits, so it is extremely imp ortant that you book your place in advance.  If you arrive without booking, you may be asked to wait until those who have booked have been seated, or you may even be turned away as we cannot exceed our limits.  Bookings can be made online on the home page here or by telephone through the parish office until 2pm on Fridays, the number to ring is 0161 973 1694.

Mass Tickets Booking System

We have to be able to trace you if there is an outbreak, so please leave your name and details.

Don’t download a ticket as we will have a full report of everyone who booked and can check you in that way, so there will be no charge.

Sunday Masses are expected to be busy, and if you are over 70 or shielding you will need to consider very carefully whether to attend.  Weekday Masses are expected to be quieter.

Please read the guide here to see what to expect. Click here for more information.
